Artist Khaled Sabsabi and curator Michael Dagostino have welcomed a decision by Creative Australia to re-instate them as Australia’s representatives at the 2026 Venice Biennale.
It's a reversal of the decision in February, fuelled by controversy over the artist's early work, that caused uproar in the arts sector.
A former board member, and sculptor, says she hopes the reversal will go some way to restoring the confidence of the artistic community in the arts agency.
