The Science Show - ABC RN

Program: John Clarke – Lorin Clarke’s film tribute to her father

Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.

When John Clarke came to Australia in the late 1970s accompanied by his character New Zealand sheep farmer Fred Dagg, he had a small but dedicated following. With early support from Andrew Denton and Robyn Williams, he became a satirical force feared by politicians and bureaucrats. As The Science Show concludes its celebration of 50 years, we remember John Clarke’s contributions to early Science Shows and point to a film just released looking at John’s life, produced by his daughter Lorin.
